Local Church Shows Love to Mall Shoppers

Over the past several years, one Midland church has made it their mission to share the love of the Holiday Season with mall shoppers. Stonegate fellowship is doing it again every weekend up to Christmas.

Beginning on Black Friday weekend, mall shoppers were treated to a bottle of water and  a snack as they hurried around doing their holiday shopping by members of Stonegate Fellowship Church. Weeks before Black Friday, members signed up in the church foyer to volunteer a few hours out of their weekend to hand out water and snacks to weary shoppers. Not for donations, not for 5 minutes of your time, but just to show God’s love to their fellow man. Over 800 members volunteer a few hours every weekend up to Christmas. The church buys tens of thousands of bottles of water countless cases of snacks to hand out free of charge.

On December 14th, 15th and 16th, Stonegate Fellowship will feature, ‘It’s Christmas In The City’ with hayrides, snacks and movies from 6pm to 10pm every evening, free to the community to come out and enjoy.
