Apple TV – A Great Addition To A ‘Dumb’ TV

Last year when my nephew bought us an Apple TV, I really didn’t know what to do with  it. We have cable and Blu-rays coming out our ears, so why did he think we need Apple TV?

Actually, it was a great gift because a few years earlier I gone all Apple. With Apple’s latest software upgrade everything connects seamlessly. If I want to look at photos on my computer, iPhone or iPad, I can click one button and it appears on my TV screen. The same is true if I want to watch a movie from those devices.

AppleTV also streams Netflix and Hulu at 1080p, and you can obviously connect to the iTunes store. And rumor has it that Apple TV could soon be getting apps.

Currently Apple is offering refurbished Apple TVs for a discounted price. All this to say, if you jumped on the Apple bandwagon, then the Apple TV is a great addition to the family.
