Any true Dallas Cowboys fan can tell you exactly what happened in the 1992 season. Dallas went 13-3 and cruised through the playoffs, beating the Buffalo Bills 52-17 in Super Bowl XXVII for their first of three Super Bowl wins in the 1990s.

Fast forward 22 years later, and you've got a Cowboys team that has defied all preseason expectations and is entering the 2014 playoffs on a roll.

Is this the year?

But, any true Cowboys fan will also be wary of any possibility of success. You get that way when you haven't seen America's Team win a Super Bowl in nearly 19 years.

But when you take a closer look, there are some similarities between the 1992 and 2014 Dallas Cowboys that make you go ... well, "wow." The 1992 team started a dynasty and ignited Jerry Jones' brand of Cowboys to new heights.

We're not saying anything is going to happen, but are these similarities just coincidence, or is something lining the "stars" in place for something special for the Dallas Cowboys?
