While we're still a few weeks away from the debut of 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2,' Sony has premiered another clip from the film, and this one dispenses with all the danger and villainous threats, instead focusing on something a little more lighthearted and fun. Spidey shows off his epic free fall and web-slinging skills in the latest bit of footage, giving us a respite from all the madness -- but don't worry, it's still a lot of action.
A Hobbit in space? Maybe! Dominic Monaghan, known for his role in the 'Lord of the Rings' films and for playing Charlie on the J.J. Abrams-produced hit series 'LOST' has been talking to his old friend about showing up in 'Star Wars: Episode 7.' As a Jedi? He wishes! But he has spoken to the director about a supporting role.
'Scarface' is being remade yet again. The film, which began life on the screen in 1932 as a classic gangster story was remade by Brian De Palma in the 1983 film starring Al Pacino as a Cuban refugee who goes from street dealer to drug kingpin. Universal, which already has a script for the contemporary remake, has found a director: Pablo Larrain, a Chilean director, most recently known for his critically acclaimed 2012 film, 'No.'
Here's one way to get your students to settle down: in Belgium, a group of students who also happen to be big 'Game of Thrones' fans, were acting a bit too rowdy in the classroom, so their teacher had a brilliant idea. If they didn't behave, he was going to start dropping massive 'Game of Thrones' spoilers, including the major deaths of characters one by one until they learned their lesson. Maybe we should take a hint from this guy.
Today marks the 30th anniversary of the day - March 24, 1984 - that 'The Breakfast Club' first met: that would be the day that characters from John Hughes' beloved teen classic were all stuck in detention together. And although at first glance this group of teens had nothing in common, they bonded over the course of that special Saturday, learning that they couldn't be defined by the labels they chose for themselves (or the ones that had been chosen for them) in the world of petty high school politics.
Just last month, Robert Rodriguez revved up his new TV network, El Rey, which features a whole lot of badass programming curated by Rodriguez and his team. This Sunday, March 9, the network will be hosting a pretty sweet double feature of Quentin Tarantino's 'Reservoir Dogs' and Rodriguez's debut film, 'El Mariachi.' To celebrate this awesome night of programming, we have the exclusive debut of El Rey's poster for the event, created by artist Kurt Volk.
The first trailer for indie horror flick 'Afflicted' has arrived, and before you dismiss this new found-footage-style film as yet another gimmick, you should give the trailer a chance. The film, which played at Fantastic Fest 2013 in Austin last year, was praised for its unique spin on the genre, with many critics comparing it to Josh Trank's 'Chronicle,' but with a surprise twist of its own.
With production on the new 'Terminator' reboot set to begin this April and original Terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger set to make his return, we've been anxious to hear more details -- and while we still don't know any specifics, we know this: Schwarzenegger himself has seen the script for the film, and he definitely approves.
While we're all gearing up for the 2014 Academy Awards, there's a different sort of long-standing awards tradition that took place over the weekend: the Razzie Awards, which honors the best of the worst in film in each year. And this year M. Night Shyamalan and Will Smith's 'After Earth' and the celeb-heavy ensemble anthology comedy 'Movie 43' took home the most prizes with three awards each.
Exciting news, Marvel fans! Following posters of Black Widow and Falcon, the studio has unveiled a new poster of your favorite all-American hero, and he's looking quite ... heroic. The stars and stripes have returned, and Cap is looking rather determined to defeat whatever dangers he might face in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier,' and we've got a high-res version of the new poster for your viewing pleasure.
