Bruno Mars, Sting, Rihanna + More Perform Bob Marley Tribute at the 2013 Grammys [VIDEO]

Fact: Everyone loves some reggae tunes from Bob Marley. And if you don’t, you have no soul. Which was extremely evident when the usually still and reserved audience at the Grammy awards decided to actually sing and dance while standing up out of their seats.

Host LL Cool J ordered everyone in the audience to painfully “get up, stand up” while Bruno Mars opened the Bob Marley tribute with a beautifully sung, modern reinterpretation of ‘Locked Out of Heaven.’

His performance, backed by a stellar brass band, was joined by Sting on guitar, which got the crowd even more excited. Who doesn’t love a surprise appearance? Sting got his own moment in the spotlight with a velvety voiced version of ‘Walking on the Moon’ joined by Mars for the chorus.

Things were thrown up another notch when Rihanna came out onstage in a long dress and matching crop top alongside Ziggy Marley to perform ‘Could You Be Loved.’ Meanwhile, we loved the glimpses into the audience where we got to see Adele and Neil Patrick Harris singing and dancing along.

The final surprise of the night was Damian Marley, who brought the extra Marley flavor to the song with his true reggae addition — which pretty much sealed the performance as one of the best of the night.

An entire room of occasionally uptight celebs clapping in unison to the tunes of Bob Marley? You can’t go wrong with that.
