This Day In History – The Luby’s Massacre and the Birth of Gun Rights
It was on this day October 16, 1991 a massacre took place in Killeen, Texas. George Hennard (born October 15, 1956) drove his pickup into a Luby’s cafeteria and shot 23 people to death, wounding another 20 subsequently committing suicide by shooting himself. It was a day that changed Susanna Gracia Hupp’s life forever. She in turn, changed Texas’ and America’s view on guns and the Second Amendment forever.

Popeye was always one of my favorite cartoon characters growing up, though by today’s standards he’s not as flashy as a Transformer or as high-tech as Tron and doubt the guy would even make it onto kid's TV today.
