Check Out What's New on DVD and VOD Today!

It's Tuesday and that means new movies will be moving to DVD and Video on Demand. Here's a look at what comes out today, January 20th, 2015.

• 'Lucy' Starring Scarlett Johansson as a woman exposed to a drug that unlocks her brain to operate on a higher level than any human ever has. Morgan Freeman helps her figure out where her new abilities might lead, as she's being chased by hired killers. (Trailer)

• In 'The Drop', Tom Hardy is a bartender at a bar that's robbed on the same night that it's randomly chosen by the mob as a drop point to launder all their dirty money. Naomi Rapace is his love interest and James Gandolfini plays his cousin. (Trailer) FYI, look for Tom Hardy in the new 'Mad Max' movie.

• 'Annabelle' Is a creepy story starring the haunted doll Annabelle, that was featured in the movie "The Conjuring", which by coincidence is going after an actress named Annabelle Wallis. (Trailer)

• 'White Bird in a Blizzard' A movie you may not have seen starring Shailene Woodley who plays a teenager coming to grips with her own sexuality in the aftermath of her mother suddenly disappearing without a trace. Eva Green is her mom and Christopher Meloni plays her dad. (Trailer)

• 'The Boxtrolls' The trailer for this movie didn't move me enough to want to buy a ticket, but some did. It is a stop-motion animated movie starring the kid who plays Bran Stark on 'Game of Thrones'. He is an orphaned boy trying to save the creatures that raised him from an evil exterminator played by Ben Kingsley. (Trailer)

• 'The Bagman' stars John Cusack is hired by Robert De Niro to retrieve a mysterious bag and wait for him at a motel, surrounded by killers, without looking inside it. (Trailer)
