So that rumor that actress Dakota Johnson might play Anastasia Steele in the upcoming film adaptation of 'Fifty Shades of Grey'? Turns out it was true. The 23-year-old has officially been cast in the role, confirmed by no less than 'Fifty Shades' author E.L. James herself.

A short while ago, James tweeted:

And with that, Johnson, the daughter of 'Miami Vice' star Don Johnson and actress Melanie Griffith, lands what is probably the biggest star-making role since Kristen Stewart was cast as Bella Swan and professionally pouted her way through the 'Twilight' movies.

Now the big question is just who will get to torture Johnson's Anastasia physically and psychologically as Christian Grey. 'Sons of Anarchy' star Charlie Hunnam has had the buzz of late, but everyone from Robert Pattinson to Ian Somerhalder has supposedly been considered by producers.

They'll need to make a decision quickly, though, because the soccer-mom porn saga is set to hit the big screen in less than a year.
