Depressed Gorilla Finds Happiness in Tightrope Walking

We like to think man is a talented species. For starters, we’re capable of eating Denny’s entire ‘Hobbit’ menu in 19 minutes flat and dominating in ping pong sans arms. There’s no better male ego boost than to reminisce over such accomplishments. It turns out our hairy ancestors are talented too.
We’d like to introduce you to the Kidogo the gorilla. Kidogo, nicknamed “King Gorilla” was recently moved from Givskud Zoo in Denmark to a German zoo, because he wasn’t able to knock up other lady gorillas. At first, the male monkey was pretty depressed and homesick in his new German homeland. Luckily, Kidogo looked past those setbacks and found a new passion in his life– tightrope-walking.
Kidogo spends his days walking across a suspended rope, and it turns out, Kidogo is a natural. In June, Nik Wallenda became the first man to walk across Niagara Falls on a high wire. Perhaps Kidogo will be the first primate to make an attempt.
Maybe if we give up sex we’ll somehow discover some of our awesome hidden talents. Just kidding, we’re leaving that crap to the monkeys.
