Drillers Represent and Honor Breast Cancer Survivors

Saturday night during the West Texas Drillers, El Paso Seminoles game, the Drillers honored our local breast cancer survivors.

I was so very proud to be the announcer recognizing some of our ladies during halftime. Each one of the cancer fighters/survivors were led onto the field by one of the Drillers players. They all met at midfield to be recognized and cheered by the crowd.

Many, if not all the Drillers players also works a pink item on their uniforms to commemorate breast cancer awareness. The also auctioned off signed memorabilia to raise money to pay for women to get their mammograms for free.

It was a huge game for the Drillers since they could not give up ANY points and have home field advantage in the playoffs. The final score was Drillers 62 El Paso Seminoles 0

The Drillers are the 2015 MPFL American Conference Regular Season Champions and the #1 seed in the Conference for the playoffs. Home playoff game information should be announced in the next 2 weeks. Other teams are still playing to determine who will play the Drillers and the Scorpions in the playoffs.
