We are expecting temperatures to dip to 15 degrees tonight. Make sure your house and pets aren't at risk.

With cold temperatures expected tonight, it's important to make sure your house and pets aren't at risk. If you have a water well that is not well insulated, run water at a slow pace to prevent freezing and breaking pipes. As water freezes it expands, which can break metal or PVC pipes. Here is a complete list of precautions from The Weather Channel.

Another consideration is how to make sure your pets survive the cold. If they have to remain outside, make sure they have a place they can stay that keeps the wind off of them. Also make sure they have water, dehydration quickens hypothermia. Here is a list from The Humane Society of other things you can do to make your pets comfortable.
