Jonah Hill faced scrutiny after reportedly directing a homophobic term at a photographer last weekend. Earlier today (June 3), the Oscar-nominated actor sat down with ‘The Howard Stern Show’ to apologize for his actions.

TMZ released the video of Jonah responding to paparazzi who were goading him. One photographer reportedly told Jonah, “I like the shorts though, bro. They are pretty sexy,” but it wasn’t until the paparazzo began to walk away that Jonah spoke. ”Suck my d–k, you f—-t,” he said.

Speaking to Howard Stern, Jonah addressed the “heartbreaking situation.” He explained that after the photographer had been following him around all day, attacking his family, Jonah lost his cool.

“In that moment I said a disgusting word that does not at all reflect how I feel about any group of people,” he said.” … I’m not at all defending my choice of words. I’m happy to be the poster boy for thinking about what you say. Those words … are rooted in hate, and that’s bulls—.”

The actor continued, admitting that as a gay rights activist, his word choice is upsetting for him.

“I’m happy to take the heat for using this disgusting word,” he said. “It would break my heart is for anyone to think, especially after all the work I’ve done, and all the loved ones I have, that I’d be against anyone for their sexuality.”
