It's a tale as old as time: Girl meets boy, girl marries other boy and achieves cheap tawdry fame on a reality show, then girl goes back to the first boy and gets a marriage proposal on stage.

Former 'Real Housewives of D.C.' star Michaele Salahi finally landed herself someone with fame he'd earned the hard way when she accepted the proposal put forth by Journey guitarist Neal Schon during a Sunday night concert in Baltimore.

As you'll recall, the odd couple met years ago but first became a public pair back in September of last year when former White House gate-crasher Michaele literally ran away from her husband Tareq. He reported her missing, only to later discover she'd instead run into the open arms (sorry) of her former lover Schon, declaring that she was "where she wanted to be."

Tareq then filed suit against Schon for $50 million in a grown-up game of "hey, no takesies-backsies," and the legal mess was finally resolved in rather laughable manner when the guitarist ponied up $12,200 and agreed to pay a year’s worth of Tareq's mortgage payments.

In light of the recent proposal, maybe we should just call it a modern-day dowry.
