Dozens of music fans sought medical attention after a Keith Urban concert in Mansfield, Mass., on Saturday night (July 26).

According to the Hollywood Reporter, approximately 46 people who attended the concert were reportedly treated for alcohol-related issues. Of that number, 22 were hospitalized. Another 50 concert-goers were taken into protective custody.

Emergency medical workers from six neighboring towns attended to the sick. The Hollywood Reporter says that at approximately 9PM ET that evening, “Mansfield fire officials declared a mass casualty incident at the concert venue, which typically indicates a large number of people with potential illnesses or injuries.”

According to THR, Mansfield Deputy Fire Chief James Puleo was unable to confirm the exact number of patients taken to the hospital.

In a joint statement (via the Toronto Sun), the local Police and Fire Department officials said, “We would like to commend all those working the concert from ushers, to security, to the Police, EMS, and Fire personnel who worked and the local hospitals for their professionalism and resilient efforts during this busy show.”

Saturday night, the country/’American Idol’ star shared a brief video with his fans, thanking them for attending the Mansfield concert and noting that the lawn was “nutso.” You can watch his full message below.

The concert was held at the Xfinity Center, which is approximately 35 miles southwest of Boston. This scary news comes just one month after dozens were hospitalized following an Avicii concert, also in the Boston area.
