Foreigner rocked the Midland Chap Center Thursday night while the Midland Education Foundation was able to raised over a million dollars.

Before the concert, the Foundation was presented with a check from their title sponsor, Pioneer Natural Resources, for one million dollars. The generous gift from Pioneer began a profitable evening which continued with he pre-concert auction which in turn netted $38,500 from the night's bidders.

Then Foreigner took the stage and energized the crowd with their classic hits including Cold As Ice, Hot Blooded, and Waiting For A Girl Like You. The packed crowd rose to their feet as the Midland High and Lee High School choirs joined Foreigner on stage for the band's biggest hit, I Want To Know What Love Is. Though the proceeds have yet to be tallied, this will probably be the largest total the Midland Education Foundation has raised to date.
