One Direction are addressing those pesky solo career rumors -- and their answers (or lack thereof) may surprise you.

The guys are doing press in support of their upcoming album, 'Four' (which is set to drop on Nov. 17) when they spoke out on the idea of going solo. (Quotes via Entertainmentwise.)

"Let's be honest, I personally don’t think I’d be able to do it as a solo artist," Louis candidly revealed. "It’s very intense and hard to comprehend, so it’s good to be able to speak to people who obviously know exactly what you personally are going through."

“Yeah and it’s nice to have somebody there every day who’s going through exactly the same stuff you are," Liam agreed. "It’s beautiful being in this position but it’s also difficult at times. It’s nice to have guys you can turn to."

While it's unclear if Zayn and Niall also addressed their own solo careers, there is much fuss being made over the fact that Harry reportedly remained silent, leading many to believe that he will, in fact, go solo one day. Of course, these rumors are nothing new -- and even former 'X Factor' judge Nicole Scherzinger revealed that she'd think that Harry would be the first member to go it alone.

But of course, that's all speculation and it's all in the future -- right now, we (and the guys!) are focused on the release of their fourth studio album, and we cannot wait. Eek!
