Tuesday night on 'Jimmy Kimmel live,' Prince debuted a new rollicking new tune called 'Rock n Roll Love Affair,' a narrative track about a couple of lovers into music and each other.

The song was heavy on horns, with the brass section grabbing the spotlight from the rest of Prince's extensive live band. Prince sang, "She believes in fairy tales and princes / He believed in jazz and rhythm and blues and this thing called soul / He believed in rock n roll / She wanted to see her name appear on the big screen / He just wanted to hear her scream his name."

'Rock n Roll Love Affair' has been released to radio, but there's no word yet whether the song will lead to an entire album of new material. The notoriously reclusive artist has been much more public in recent weeks -- he also appeared on 'The View' last month. We are strongly in favor of this publicity blitz if it means more opportunities to hear new music from the legendary performer.

After the Kimmel gig, Prince performed a secret show in Hollywood. According to Page Six, the intimate show before a crowd of 200 took place at the Sayers Club, with Christina Aguilera, will.i.am, Adam Levine, Nicki Minaj and others in attendance.
