'Gangnam Style' star Psy has already won a 2012 American Music Award in advance of this weekend's ceremony, but more importantly, he got to perform two songs onstage with Madonna at her Madison Square Garden concert on Tuesday!

Madge surprised the crowd by bringing out the Korean pop star during her set and doing the 'Gangnam Style' dance along with him. She grinded next to him and crawled between his legs while he rapped his worldwide hit.

Psy also hung around for 'Music,' dancing with Madonna as she sang her classic No. 1 song. Psy has now completed a meteoric rise from being unknown in America six months ago to performing in an iconic venue with the queen of pop music.

As a result of his online success and social media buzz, Psy has been named the winner of the New Media Award at the 2012 AMAs, and he has been added to the performance lineup, according to People.

That's yet another trophy for the singer, who took home Best Video at the MTV Europe Music Awards. The New Media Award doesn't exactly have the most impressive history — past recipients of the award were DeStorm, Christina Grimmie and Karmin — so we hope Psy has a more prolific post-award career.

The AMAs air live this Sunday (Nov. 18) at 8PM EST on ABC. Psy will receive his award during the pre-show, which begins at 5PM EST with a live stream on YouTube.
