Just after rumors saying 'American Idol' was cutting its entire panel hit the internet, Randy Jackson confirmed what all his dawgs already knew: He's peacing out after this season.

What about the ultimate polarizing judge, Nicki Minaj? That's a little murkier.

Jackson told E! News, in what almost sounds like self-parody, “Yo! Yo! Yo! To put all of the speculation to rest, after 12 years of judging on 'American Idol' I have decided it is time to leave after this season."

He continued, "I am very proud of how we forever changed television and the music industry. It’s been a life-changing opportunity but I am looking forward to focusing on my company Dream Merchant 21 and other business ventures.”

Meanwhile, when Ryan Seacrest asked Minaj about returning for Season 13 in a recent interview, it was clear she didn't really want to answer.

“That’s a million-dollar question,” she giggled. “I have to say this all the time, but I want people to know it’s genuinely from my heart. I love the people on ‘Idol.’ I genuinely do. If I had to do this all over again, I would have done ‘Idol.’ Because it’s fun, it’s laughs.

"It’s kind of sad that what people read all the time is only when something is negative. But they don’t realize that we built a family. I feel happy here and I have to thank them for giving me this chance. They could have picked anyone in the world. And they picked me. So that’s all I’ll say about that.”

Mariah Carey likely won't be back, either. Her husband Nick Cannon insinuated that 'Idol' producers actually stoked her feud with Minaj, and that Mimi is above the drama.

“When you see someone like my wife, who tries to remain classy and tries to take the high road, it feels like everybody else around it — including the network and the producers — feed into this whole sound bite drama,” he griped on 'The Talk' (via MTV News).

“It feels like it lacks substance ... You can’t even blame Nicki Minaj or her team. I feel like they fed into that. They wanted to see the drama. I think America in general is tired of seeing the mean judges and people be mean to people. They’re over it,” he added. “In the book of Mariah Carey, ‘American Idol’ will be a footnote.”

As for potential panel replacements? Word has it that producers are eyeing Pink, Diddy, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez ... which sounds pretty expensive.
