Wednesday is typically the cheapest day to fill up at the pump, but with tropical storm Isaac moving through the Gulf of Mexico, it may be the most expensive. Oil rigs began evacuating over the weekend and with Isaac expected to make landfall midweek in one of the country's most refinery populated regions, motorists are already seeing a spike in gasoline prices.

Today may be the best bet to top off, keeping a little money in your bank account as hurricane weary Louisianians drain every tank dry in preparations to either evacuate or ride out the storm. Some residents are expecting a loss of services for at least a few days after Isaac makes landfall.
