'Lone Survivor': The movie Americans have been waiting for for the new year is arriving in theaters this weekend!

'Lone Survivor' is based on the book by the namesake of the movie, Marcus Luttrell, about the failed June 28, 2005 mission "Operation Red Wings". Four members of SEAL Team 10 were tasked with the mission to capture or kill notorious Taliban leader Ahmad Shahd. Directed by Peter Berg and starring Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch and Emile Hirsch, the movie chronicles the failed mission "Operation Red Wings" which tasked four members of SEAL Team 10 on June 28, 2005, where the members of the team were quickly compromised and came under attack.

Many of my active duty and retired military friends who have had a chance to preview the movie overwhelmingly say, "GO SEE IT!".

'Lone Survivor' is rated R for strong bloody war violence and pervasive language.
