The New 97.9 LITE FM – KODM Remembers Casey Kasem This Weekend

The New 97.9 LITE FM. This week we lost a legend: Casey Kasem passed away at the age of 82. This weekend we has scheduled a tribute to his life and career.

All of us have great memories of listening to Casey and his American Top 40 Countdown, and this weekend we pay tribute with three separate programs: Saturday beginning at 12 noon, Casey's children, Mike and Carrie host a two hour retrospective on his life and career, which we will follow up at 2pm with the rebroadcast of Casey's American Top 40, 50 Greatest Hits of 1977.

Sunday beginning at 10 AM we will rebroadcast the tribute and then follow it up with Casey's AT40’s 50 Greatest Hits of 1986.
