The New ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Trailer Is Jaw-Dropping

After J.J. Abrams first took over the Star Trek franchise, I was both elated and disappointed.
Elated that the much delayed movie was finally released, then disappointed that the Enterprise’s engine room looked more like a microbrewery than the heart of the famous starship. Abrams also used a time-travel plot device to create a new, alternate timeline, which left many older Trekker’s wondering what happened.
But after viewing the new trailer for Star Trek: Into Darkness, I have renewed hope that on my birthday (May 17th), JJ Abrams will give me the best present a trekker can hope for: A movie all Trek fans can get behind.
