Before 'The Walking Dead' season 3 came to a close, revealing that everyone's favorite Governor would indeed return to menace the survivors once again, executive producer Gale Ann Hurd told us that the walkers themselves would become a much less managable threat in season 4. Now, with the October premiere looming over us after Comic-Con 2013, has a disturbing new breed of walker been revealed?

Don't fear for young Judith Grimes just yet, but it seems as though 'The Walking Dead' season 4 premiere, "30 Days Without an Accident," may feature one of its most disturbing zombies to date: a baby! TVGuide first revealed the news with series star Danai Gurira saying, "There's a little hint of that in the premiere."

Executive producer and FX guru Greg Nicotero admitted that the prospect had nearly been incorporated into the previous season during Daryl and Maggie's formula mission, while creator Robert Kirkman made sure to dispel any similarities to Zack Snyder's 2004 'Dawn of the Dead' remake. "It'll be something different from the baby who was seen in the 'Dawn of the Dead' remake, which was horrific and done so well. There's still room for us to do something different and cool."

While we await the latest details from the fall premiere, the next run of ‘The Walking Dead’ will introduce 'The Wire' star Lawrence Gilliard Jr. as comic character Bob Stookey, and upgrade actors Chad Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green and Emily Kinney to series regulars. AMC earlier confirmed that David Morrissey’s villainous Governor would also return in season 4 as a series regular, while the AMC drama is confirmed to have begun casting three new roles exceptionally familiar to comic fans.

You can preview the new horrors that await in 'The Walking Dead' season 4 with the trailer below, and tell us what you're most excited to see from the new episodes this fall!
