A line of thunderstorms roared through Midland/Odessa this morning knocking our power in some areas.

The thunderstorms are associated with the cold front that moved though last night. As they moved through Midland, they dropped marble sized hail and lightning knocked out power in several neighborhoods.

Besides that, it was nice waking to the sound of thunder usually reserved to the summer and spring months. The National Weather Service expects these storms to move out of the area by this afternoon, leaving us sunny skies with a high of 68°.

Did the storms wake you up this morning?
