While Skywatchers were checking out the super moon this weekend in Dallas/Ft. Worth, some viewers captured a rare phenomena.

The 'Super Moon' is a fairly rare occurrence, but catching an unidentified object on video is ever more rare. It happened Saturday night when Mike Prendergrast, a storm chaser with AllAccessWeather.com says:

Just saw this meteor outside my home. Was coming right at us and had enough time to get out my phone to do a quick video. Had to been in the sky for about 15 seconds or more. Update 7/13: Think this was probably space junk. Was in the sky for a long time (15 seconds or more) and was glowing blue. If anyone can confirm, please let me know!

The American Meteor Society received multiple reports of the meteor spanning from Texas to Florida.

Did you see any meteors this weekend?
