Woman Sets Record for Smallest Waist
Setting any kind of record must be pretty awesome. Having the lowest voice on the planet or making the largest Frito pie in all of crunchy snack history garners major bragging rights. It seems like everyone these days wants to take a crack at making things bigger, better, or taller, but in the case of Nerina Orton, she’s aiming for small. Really, really small.
The 22-year-old from Britain now has the country’s smallest waist, clocking in at a teeny tiny 15.7 inches. Her measurements fall just behind Cathie Jung’s, the current world record holder, but Orton is set on squeezing down to 14 inches one day. Ouch.
How does the Brit contort her body to such tiny proportions? Orton wears an extremely tight corset 23 hours a day, only taking it off for showers. Even though she has regular medical checkups to ensure all organs are functioning properly, Orton does have some funny effects from the intense constriction. When she takes off her corset, she can feel her organs shifting back into place. Now that’s something we never want to experience.
However, we do have to commend Orton for being so focused on reaching her itty bitty goal. Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re going to expand our waistlines with some grossly awesome pizza.
